Hello. So it is a beautiful day in NYC, of course rather cold but it is February so surprise, surprise. The painting is a detail of one of my 20" dia. round birch paintings. I hope it makes people smile because if they think I am totally serious than I have the wrong audience. Oh well.

I was put on this list and it seems like a good site.

I think I have hired this photographer to shoot my reception which I did not think of till John reminded me last night. It is an added expense but He is good and I cannot think of taking photos when trying to relax and enjoy myself.

Today I am going to try and figure out some option to conceal the edges of my paintings that are over-painted and messy. There are some where it does not matter and I kind of like it but others where it may be distracting. So...

hello. So busy day today, did get my new custom stretcher bars with braces and I'm very happy. I've also found a car-service with vans which will be more convenient for my installation trip. I will not have to pick up the van and return it. I'm getting excited about the show I could always have more time but I've done some work and look forward to seeing it up when I will discover if it works.

OK. So I like this little naive painting. It is not in the show but one of the 9"x12" paintings that I made. The brushstroke is so juvenile and sweet and I am glad that it happened. I think it fits in perfectly with the flea market finds, my favorite kind of painting. When you find a gem that is a good day.

Brings me back to this guy that I've collected. He unloads work on Saturday 4:30 - 5:00 am with this particular dealer. I've bought twenty-five plus pieces from this dealer. The collecting bug that is what brought that up.

Good Night.

January 27th 2009

Hello. I have not posted in a while. Have been rather busy and for some reason distracted. Anyway here I am. It is getting close to my show and I am in good shape regarding preparations. I stopped by the gallery today and had a look and luckily I did not find any surprises.

I have finished work for the show for the most part there will be some touch-up which I should do this evening. After the past few weeks of painting like crazy it is the last thing I want to do. I guess that is normal. I do have other things related to the show that I need to do, stretching canvases, sending out email invites to some new yet to be discovered people.

I am very happy with the work that I have done. On a different note I played tennis last night for the first time in weeks and I played rather well.

Later for now.
